Gainesville also has access to 8 million gallons per day net withdrawal through 1953 “Relocation Contract” granted upon impoundment of Lake Lanier. ​Key Issues/Challenges: Recognition of State-granted water rights, including proper accounting of wastewater return flows in accordance with State law; predictable budgeting of repair, replacement and rehabilitation cost share for non-federal contract partners.
